With over 27 years’ of clinical experience, Dr. Biao Lu and Dr. Shiao-Ting Jing, together with their highly trained associate, Dr. Lim, dedicate themselves to the highest standards of their chosen profession: the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbology, nutritional counseling, and Qi Gong practice.
All of our doctors are graduates of prestigious Chinese medicine universities in mainland, China – namely, Beijing University of TCM and Shanghai University of TCM. These universities offer the finest training programs for Asian medicine in the world. Beijing and Shanghai’s Oriental Medical programs involve extensive training in Western as well as Eastern medicine. The comprehensive programs offered by these universities, combined with their extensive internships and the many years of clinical experience make our doctors uniquely suited to work with Western patients and their doctors.
Treatments are explained in a clear and straightforward manner, and healing programs can be designed to complement Western diagnoses and medical care. After
graduation, Dr. Biao Lu went on to study under Professor
Yang Jia Shang, one of the premier acupuncturists
of China, who was featured in
Bill Moyer’s ‘Healing
and the Mind’ program on PBS.
With the renowned Professor Zheng Kui Shan, Dr. Lu further
refined his skills in special acupuncture techniques. Known
as ‘Mountain Burning, Heaven Cooling’. These techniques
are not well known in the West and
are powerful tools for
immunity and pain relief.
Before coming to Los Angeles, Dr. Lu was the Chief
Acupuncture Physician at Dong Zhi Men Hospital in Beijing,
which was featured in Bill Moyer’s ‘Mysteries
of Qi’ series. Dr. Lu is an expert in Qi Gong healing
techniques and his practice neurology, pain management and male infertility, as well as issues in general practice.

Dr.
Shiao-Ting Jing comes from a family whose knowledge
of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine stretches
back many generations. She has a passion for the profound
philosophy and practice of this medicine and its ability
to balance body mind and spirit. She was interested
in healing from childhood and after graduating from an eight-year O.M.D. training program, decided to specialize
in obstetrics and gynecology. She apprenticed with Dr. Zhang Ren Yi, a seventh-generation OB/Gyn specialist, and gained great success in treating gynecological issues as a young doctor.
After losing a close family member to an autoimmune condition,
she pursued further training in this area, apprenticing with
the notable Professors Shang Xin Men and Lu Ren He at Dong Zhi Men
Hospital in Beijing. She was engaged in award-winning research
studies as well as clinical practice in using TCM to treat kidney failure, deepening her knowledge
of herbology. She became a teacher, intern supervisor and
a chief physician at Beijing Immunology Hospital.
Upon coming to Los Angeles, Dr. Jing completed her Ph.D. at American Liberty University in Fullerton, California. Dr. Jing’s practice emphasizes gynecology, infertility, autoimmune disorders and pediatrics, as well as issues in general practice.
Both Dr. Jing and Dr. Lu are on the faculty of Yo San University in Los Angeles and Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica. They have maintained a practice in the Los Angeles &Santa Monica area for over a decade.

Florence Lim, L.Ac, Dipl. O.M., and Doctoral (DAOM) candidate, obtained her medical degree specializing in traditional Chinese medicine after completing a 6-year training program at the prestigious Shanghai University of TCM (上海中医药大学). During the course of her studies, she earned the highest honors in her class in the fields of TCM Gynecology and Acupuncture, as well as participated in a 2-year clinical internship at Shanghai’s renowned East-West integrative hospitals, namely Shu Guang Hospital (曙光医院) and Rui Jin Hospital (瑞金医院) where she obtained knowledge and experience in the integrative use of Eastern and Western medicine to treat digestive, gynecological, immunological, endocrinological and musculoskeletal issues. She is currently in the process of obtaining a Clinical Doctoral degree specializing in infertility and TCM reproductive medicine at Yosan University of TCM in Los Angeles, CA.
Florence believes that just as there are many paths to success, so are there many paths to health and wellness. In her practice, she emphasizes using an integrative approach that includes diagnostic methods of both western and eastern medicine, acupuncture and herbal treatment, as well as lifestyle, diet, and nutritional counseling. She also incorporates exercises such as Tai Chi and Qi Gong when necessary into her treatments.
